best romantic destinations

Hi! My name is Ibukunwrites and I am a sucker for love and romantic destinations  lol. Happy Love Month guys! I know every day is love’s day, but you know February has that undeniable special effect.

Believe me, it’s not just about St. Valentine’s day but every single day in the month of February is a day to make love special.

Being a hopeless romantic with a great flair for books, movies, music, food, antiques and travelling, discovering new places and making a list of romantic destinations is definitely one of my guilty pleasures.

As someone who is constantly rediscovering her romanticism, I do not only pride myself greatly on my ability to recommend the best places for a real romantic getaway, but I also got you covered on how to make very affordable flight bookings using Travelstart.

Having seen the world creatively through art, there is nothing more pleasurable for me than to share my list of love places.

So, if you are looking forward to maximizing the remaining days in February with your partner and you are unsure of where to go and how to go about it, I’ve got you! I am your plug for the best romantic destinations to explore .

So, let’s get to it. . .

Because I like to think that there is no perfect romantic moment without a good sight, sumptuous and tasty meal, interesting stories and great wine, below are my very unconventional top five places to recommend for a romantic getaway with all of those factors in consideration;

Verona is a beautiful romantic destination

Verona, Italy

Since the movie Letters to Juliet, Verona has been one of my favourite places to recommend to anyone who is a sucker for love and would appreciate a city that speaks it aloud without screaming.

Beyond that, Verona is such a artistic and historic city  with two of William Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Romeo and Juliet set in that city.

Anytime I hear, read or see anything that says Amsterdam, what always comes to mind is Junot Diaz’s short story titled Amsterdam.

I can’t tell you a lot of things but I can tell you this one thing; Amsterdam is a city anyone must behold. It is such a liberal city and it’s quite famous for beautiful houses, coffee shops, canals, etc.

beautiful places in Athens, Greece

Just like Satorini, Athens is such a beautiful and safe place to explore. Beyond the fact that it is one of the oldest cities in the world, it has beautiful and picture-perfect sights.

the beauty called Cuba

Cuba is one of my favourite cities in the world. Besides the fact Spanish makes me drool hard, I’m totally mesmerized by the beauty of Cuba and I’m most enamoured by its cuisines! If you are like me and you appreciate a good meal, a good dance to a great music, good wine and a great place to see, Cuba is the total package. It’s the perfect place to be. It’s a generally safe country but you wanna be careful too, as you should be anywhere you go to. But then, Cuba is such an adventure.

paris, the city of love and romance

Paris, France

You know that one city you can never not go because it is just right that you go? Paris is that city! I mean, how can I not recommend the city of lights, love and romance? From the famous Eiffel Tower to the 12th Century Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral, Paris is that city of love you don’t want anyone to just tell you about but experience yourself.

In case you think that it’s probably too late to travel to any of the above mentioned cities and get yourself some of this February magic, because of all the time that goes into planning flight bookings and packing, I want you to know that you can make your trip just in time with Travelstart.

All you have to do is carry out all the necessary preparations on your end (such as getting your passport ready, etc.), let them know where you’re headed and they’ll gladly help plan your trip from booking cheap flights, amazing yet affordable hotels to car rentals.

Lastly, always remember that it’s never too late to make magic and grow love. I hope you enjoy every moment of your trip as you journey anyone of these cities and most importantly I do hope that you find this article useful whenever you decide to recreate February love in any month of your choice.

& this is how I say it’s so good to be back

love, light and lots of joy,
